Good Morning, ABBA, Father,

Spring is in the air…and my palette of colors are really fun, with which to decorate; a craft, a flower arrangement, paint a room.

It’s April Fools Day…a day of playing tricks upon one another.

As I sip my Cup of Fancy (Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake..from Simpson & Vail (svtea.com), I recall some of the silly pranks that my mom used to play upon me as a teenager in the ‘60’s.

*Hiding my big Hair Curler Bag

*Rearranging my closet

*Insisting that we were having liver and onions for dinner; as she was fixing my fav spaghetti.

*Just fun, little stuff……life was so much simpler back then….before cell phones, computers and technology. 

I was just a kid. What did I know about reading the Bible? Zero! How did I know that memorizing scripture could transform your mind and …YOUR THOUGHTS? ZERO!

When I made my First Communion, then Confirmation, I was told that The Holy Spirit now lived within me. What the heck did that mean? We were not told to read the  Bible, nor study scripture.

If I have a bad day with thoughts and emotions… IT’S ONLY BECAUSE I have not spent 15 minutes with You, ABBA, before I walk out the door. You have taught me to breathe in your Spirit.

“I can do all things through Christ, who gives me the strength. WOW! I can do what??!!

Recovering from severe, postpartum depression 47 years ago…I sought out self-help books diligently. One of the first people in heaven I want to hug, is Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, author of THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING.

He taught me to seek Christ through scripture. 

Thus, I began to build an Intimate Relationship with my Lord and Savior. 

ABBA… You are so funny! Where did you next send me? You sent me to teach Preschool at Little School in the Prairie; Lincoln Baptist Church; women who were Bible read and Bible fed. OH BOY!  I soaked in as much as I could.

ABBA, you aligned my entire career to touch many for your kingdom. You encouraged me to get re-certified then teach KDG for 24 years, plus earn my M.Ed.

Now, I am retired 11 years, and you have blessed me so much. You recreated me and are still using me for the kingdom.

Father, praise you for blessing me with authorship and my artistic background….for my retirement is all about You.

*You are the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.

*You are MY OFFSPRING!

*Rest in Me.

Come to Me in the morning…and you will be able to handle whatever comes your way, this day.
