About Me

                     IT’S NOT ABOUT ME

1 Cor 4:2-4 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I care very little if I am judged by you, or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.

Welcome to my website: The Erstwhile Acorn

I am a retired Teacher:30 years in the public school system and 7 years  teaching at a Christian Preschool.

I have been married to Mr. Moo Cow for 45 years. Our  200 acre farm has been in his family 101 years.

We have 3 grown sons, who are all PE/Health Teachers and football coaches.

As you visit our website, you will read about my Spiritual Journey, that began in 1998, along with my friend, Gracie. Check this out: Rev 2:17 To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one that receives it.  Gracie was given the name Extravagant Grace. I was given the name Fearless Faith. Sandy was given the name Boundless Trust.

I was instructed profoundly throughout this journey to do the following: HABAKKUK 2:2-3

Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a Herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time. It speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it. It will certainly come and not delay.

As many times as that scripture was given to me, by various people, (some that I had never met before), I finally realized that it was a direction from The Holy Spirit, that must be attended to.

Two weeks before I retired, I went to my cousin’s immersion baptism at a Columbus Vineyard. Before the ceremony, I was invited into the prayer room with her friends. As I was leaving for the ceremony, one of the prayer partners took me by the arm and gave me the following prophecy: “The Holy Spirit gave me two things, that I’m to share with you. The rollercoaster is almost over. There is a quill surrounding you. Can you define these?” I answered tearfully.  “The rollercoaster is my teaching career. I retire in 2 weeks. The quill is a writing pen. He has ordered to me to write down His revelations (Habakkuk 2).”

Last Year, I began a blog site entitled. “The Erstwhile Acorn.” I was obedient. Now, “ VOILA!” There I am writing a Devotional. God has orchestrated it all!

Recently, through the Nondenominational Bible Study at my Parish, St. Josephs, my friend Sandy began to throw around few ideas! I WAS WOW…THAT’S IT!!!!!! The Holy Spirit wins again! He’s ignited exactly what was prophetically given to me.

So my friends….here we go …..You are entrusted by The Holy Spirit to read stories from everyday Christians, who have been there, done that, and rely on the strength and peace of The Lord, to survive their daily struggles.
