Good Morning, ABBA, Father,

It is so relaxing writing on my country porch. Since it;’s midsummer, I love sipping on Lavender, Lemon Mint Iced Tea, for my Cup of Fancy.

My favorite Bible, given to me by my Bestie, Gracie, is so marked with purple and green that it is a canvas, in itself. My favorite chapter of the Old Testament is Psalms.

It is so full of God’s love, grace and redemption. It’s the chapter I turn to when I need a spiritual, emotional, and physical boost.

The denomination in which I was raised, back in the 50-60’s was filled with rules and guilt.  Oh, I knew there was a Jesus who loved me and paid for my sins.  However, There was an overwhelming sense of having to earn my way to heaven…..and a ton of guilt.

As Grace was poured over me at 50 years old, I was awakened to the true love of God.  The following scripture  changed my life. 

Psalm 18:18- 19 They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support. He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.”  

WHAT? My God delights in ME?

It took me a while to allow The Holy Spirit to convict me of his love for me.

I was a rebel in college, after 12 years of nuns. 

However, once I surrendered to Jesus, I was born again. It was RELATIONSHIP VS RELIGION…..FREEDOM!

At our recent bible study the following activity was very profound. We were given a strip of white paper, a red marker, and told to write our sins upon it. We were then given a strip of red vinyl to cover the strip of paper. VOILA! Our sins are covered by the blood.

Father, thank You for Jesus….and freedom from sin.

MY CHILD:  Say this prayer every morning, before your feet hit the floor.

Morning Prayer: Touch Me, Lord

I Breathe in The Holy Spirit. Touch me and fill me with love, joy, peace, contentment and Your Holy Wisdom; help me to make Godly Choices this day.

Touch my mind….give me thoughts of courage and self-worth.

Touch my tongue, so that the words I speak, are aligned with Your Holy Word.  Allow me to live in Holy Boldness this day.

May I touch the lives of others, as they see Jesus within me.
