Value of Concentration: Fix your eyes upon Jesus

Memory Verse: Jesus, teach me to see through Your eyes.

Good Morning, ABBA, Father,

The sun is streaming through my big, porch, windows. I sit here with my computer, and my Cup of Fancy; ready to spend time with you. This morning I’m sipping Lemon Zinger HotTea, of course out of Granny’s china cup. A blueberry scone accents my repast.

One of the greatest gifts that you have bestowed upon me, ABBA, is seeing things through your eyes.  This is only accomplished when Your Holy Word becomes a filter for my every thought and action.

As I sit here and view your 350 year old Burr Oak Tree, that resides in our barn lot, I remember the day that You assured me that the gift of wisdom would be showered upon me; Granny and Mom were your recipients, also.

You assured me that the Burr Oak- my tree-represented The Tree of Life.

O, Father, that You should bless me in such a way, sets my soul afire!

Why me? I sought you mightily, as did the woman with the issue of blood. During two different prayer services, by two different prayer warriors, I was given this command. Habakkuk: 2 For I am going to do something in your day, that you would not believe, even if you were told. Write down the revelation, and make it plain on tablets.

I had prayed for 17 years, vehemently for guidance.

Oh, I wrote and journaled; however, how You were going to make all of this occur would be nothing more than a miracle. My friend, Gracie, assured me that “It’s God’s to do.” Well, He did….just as He said He would do.

I listened, I obeyed, and here I am, a published author.

When we live in the omnipresence of God

(PS. 139:7, Jer. 23:23) we become filled with His Wisdom.

ABBA, guide gently, those who wish to see things, through the eyes of Jesus. Nurture them. Teach them to soak their minds with Your Holy Word.

I was with an elderly friend, who was raised within the same environment, as I.  Her faith is so deep and wide; yet, she is not Bible read and Bible fed, as I was blessed to become.

People have no idea, what it’s like to be in the Word, spending time with You; when out of nowhere, You give me a “Wow,” life lesson/blessing.

Here is my prime example; God  anointed me with three colors. Blue was my somber childhood; yet, I was surrounded by Christian Values(Royal Blue).

My second color was green. After my horrific experience with postpartum depression, I began to seek Him as did the woman with the issue of blood. Green walked me through his verdant pastures of repose.

Then out of nowhere, everything was purple. I became The Daughter of The King.

Here’s the Biggie: The first time I read Proverbs 31, The Woman of Noble Character, He blew my mind!

As I began to read, He whispered to me: “This one’s for you.”

I came to the following verse: “She is dressed in purple and fine linen.” I freaked! I sobbed! I realized that the mess I had been since childhood, became a NEW CREATION IN CHRIST! I was guilt-free through His Grace. FREEDOM!

I praise You, Father, for using me for Your Kingdom.

My suggestion to all who read this daily devotional: pray, ask for His guidance. Ask Him to open your mind, heart and spirit, and to see things through the eyes of Jesus;  then act upon it.

Thank You, Father, for blessing me this day.

MY CHILD: Only as you seek and study The Word, can you begin to see things through the eyes of Jesus. Your prayers are powerful an effective(2 Cor 5:21;James 5:16) As you spend time with me, I will eventually overwhelm you with my love, forgiveness, and guilt-free grace.  Choose to focus on a higher reality, not the traumas of this world. Remember, Jesus overcame the world Stay close within the realm of The Holy Spirit, and your eyes will be opened. I love you.
Your,
ABBA, Father

Phil 4:7 And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matt 14:29-30 Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink cried out,”Lord save me!”

Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
