PARENTS AS TEACHERS

Wow! Classroom Teachers Really Are Saints,
And They Have Your Child’s Best Interest At
Heart!

First and foremost…..I want to say, ”BRAVO” to those parents, whom have stepped up to the plate! You have taken upon yourself the title of “Co-Educator!”

For years, so many parents have already been Co-Educators; helping with homework, volunteering, doing home projects. However, due to the Corona
Virus, education had to create a new paradigm.

I hope that you all realize the following:
*Yes, you have taken upon yourself a big job.
*This is a new genre for classroom teachers, as well.
*Classroom teachers are going over and above the call of duty, trying to make sure that each child can pass on to the next grade if possible.
*All 3 of my sons are classroom teachers. Two of the districts have told the teachers to back off with some of the assignments.
*Teachers were already overwhelmed with work, as it is. This new paradigm of instruction required grade levels to work together, and create new lessons, and methods of instruction.
*The first week of distancing, one of my sons was online 12 hrs. per day, three days in a row; he’s an Elementary P.E. Teacher. Last week, his schedule was a nightmare.
*A friend’s sister in Fla. is online about 10 hrs. a day, since she has a plethora of classes and grading to do.
*Classroom Teachers love their kids, and miss them horribly.
*London, Ohio Elementary Teachers did a Kiddie Distance Parade. The Teachers got in their cars, drove around their students neighborhoods, honking, waving, and sending love to their kids.

For right now, this is the new norm. Gov. Dewine has plans for the fall yet to be revealed. It could possibly be a half-day of school/home-school. He did make a statement that Education, as we knew it, won’t resume until the fall of 2021.

Unfortunately, in every culture, there are parents who don’t “Parent.” I’ve experienced a good deal of that behavior throughout my 30 years in the public school system. It’s heartbreaking.

In Madison Co., we have Sufficient Grace. Volunteers bag up hundreds of lunches for kids to take home over the weekend.

It’s really important as parents, to follow the social distancing rules.

In one, small town the following occurred:
*The seniors were celebrated, as the lights were turned on, at the stadium one eve for 20 minutes.
*100 students rallied outside that stadium.
*The principal had to apologize to the local government.
WHERE WERE THEIR PARENTS?

Oh I know that teenage kids are driving their parents nuts, about not being able to be with their friends. It’s stressful…BUT BE THE PARENT!

Kids have Internet, Zoom, text, and Face Time that they have available to communicate with their friends.

My heart breaks for the seniors. In the future, they will tell their story to their own kids, especially if Christ is first in their lives; “How Christ gave me strength through the Corona Virus.”

I BELIEVE:
*That we will be stronger than ever as a nation; hopefully, ONE NATION UNDER GOD.
*That a great AWAKENING OF SPIRITUALITY will take place.
*That school will be in session, as we knew it before.
*That we will eat at restaurants, go to salons, sporting events, and concerts.
*THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL AND THIS HAS ALL BEEN FOR HIS DIVINE PURPOSE.

HEAVENLY FATHER: I pray that you protect the people of our nation during this time of trial. Please, cover us with the Blood of Jesus, and bring a quick end to the present mayhem. Bless each and every family and see to their personal needs. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Proverbs 20:11 Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 23: 13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; ..if you punish him with a rod(good discipline) he will not die.

Matt 28:20 And teaching them everything that I have commanded you. Surely I am with you to the end of the age.
