I’m a PIRATE!

Isaiah 33:6 He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord (knowledge) is the key to this treasure.
I can remember my brother and I sailing the seven seas. He was five years older than I; thus I was his shadow. He dug out a huge piece of sod that we could pick up and replace easily. Our treasure box was carefully buried; a rock placed upon it for easy identification.
FORWARD 30 YEARS: I was coming out of postpartum depression in 1978. Listening to the 2 men that made such a difference in my life (Billy Graham/Norman Vincent Peale) spiritually, I took their advice.
I became a pirate, once again. I began to dig for buried treasure. What I found was more profitable than silver or gold. God’s Word granted me wisdom, knowledge, and fear of the Lord.
I began to dig, seek, and search for divine truth and direction. One Sat. morn while reading Proverbs 31, He gave me one of my greatest treasures.
Being an artist, there are 3 colors that image my life. Blue was the color of my childhood. Oh! Blue can be Royal, but it is a cool and somewhat a somber color. Blue reflected my childhood; with the family dysfunction I had to bear.
As my life came back into focus, it was God’s healing words of the 23rd Psalm that helped to heal me. God’s verdant green pastures kept me in peace. Thus, green became my favorite color.
I can’t tell you when or how it happened. As God emboldened my character, everything became purple. All who are familiar with me know that fact.
One morning, I began to read Proverbs 31: The Woman of Noble Character. I began to read the following verse: She is dressed in fine linen and purple. God addressed my spirit: ”That’s meant for you Little Fearless Faith.” You guessed it! I was bawling!
He brought me from a scared, worrisome child, and led me to become a Woman of Noble Character.
Sometimes being a pirate has a BIG PAY OFF!
HEAVENLY FATHER: Bless those who seek for your buried treasure. Open a whole new world for them, as you did for me. Allow fear, worry, and guilt to dissolve Allow peace and wisdom to reign in their spirits.
In Jesus Precious Name, I pray. Amen.
