MOTHERS ON THE GO

Be Still and Know That He Is God

Luke 10:41-42 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered. “You are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken from her.”

A stay- at- home mom raised me. Back in the 50-60’s era, that was the norm. Presently, most moms work out of necessity. However, we take pride in our education and careers.

I was at home raising 2 boys for 5 years. I really felt the need and push, to reinvent myself. I eventually went back, got recertified, and wound up teaching Kdg. for 26 years.

As I began to grow spiritually, God urged me to “Be still and know that I Am God.”

I would always try to read a small devotional paragraph, before leaving for school every morning.

However, Sat. morns were my time for seeking treasure. Candles lit, sitting in my favorite chair, still in my robe, coffee, Bible on my lap, Lacey Pup at my feet (Miss you Mama’s Baby Girl): I created this scene every Sat. morn at 6a.m.

It was my time of gaining peace, strength, and wisdom. The insight that He gave me was overwhelming.

I remember the culmination of my spiritual renewal in 2000 was kneeling in a huge group in front of Max Lucado, at St. Xavier Catholic Univ. in Cincinnati, as he made an altar call. After watching Billy Graham for years, it was always something that I wished to experience. I was blessed to have the opportunity.

Start…begin slowly….The Spirit will draw you in….and as it does for me…… becomes food for your soul…..you won’t be able to live without it.

HEAVENLY FATHER: Praise You for bringing me to Your Holy Word. Please set aside time for MOMS ON THE GO, to seek your peace and roadmap to eternity. I Jesus Precious Name. Amen
