If I CAN…..ANYONE CAN!

Talk about giving the glory to God!!!!! My Friend Eva… I can’t tell you what an amazing woman she has become.

I met Eva 40 years ago, when I had her son in preschool. She was an amazingly, beautiful woman, who seemed to have everything together. She was married with 2 kids and was a registered nurse.

I had asked her if she wanted to come into our classroom and do a program about health. She revealed to me that she wasn’t doing well. Having become a strong survivor of post-partum depression, I picked up on her issue immediately. She was suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Being a survivor, you reach out to help anyone, and everyone that you recognize needs assistance.

My husband and I welcomed her into our home and fed her with the love of Jesus.

Here’s how her story develops:

*Her mother dies when she’s in the 2nd grade.

*She is a victim of child abuse.

*The so-called father places all of the kids in a childrens’ home. They are abused there, as well.

*After she is returned to the father, she is horribly beaten. The school finally rescues her. She lives with a minister until she can begin nursing school.

*She becomes a nurse.

*She marries a so-called great guy/great family. The only thing that is good from the marriage, is the 2 children.

*The husband forces her to have 2 abortions.

*She divorces the husband. I’m with her when she calls the police to get a restraining order against the husband, who tried to rape her.

*She undergoes about 10 years of psychotherapy.

BUT GOD…

*Works in nursing, buys her own home and continues to raise her kids in a Godly manner.

*I introduce her to her husband of 27 years.

She has become a tremendous life-toucher to so many. Learning of the love, grace, and mercy of God, she let go of the ugliness of her past.

She continues to do her nursing job, part time. She struggles with Lupus, but you’d never know it, with her positive attitude.

My friend, Jenny is the perfect example what life can become….WHEN YOU MAKE POSITIVE CHOICES.

Sweet Jenn, I am so blessed that you are my Sister in Christ!
