Memory Verse: ABBA: keep me firm in my convictions.

Good Morning, ABBA, Father, 

It is a cold February morn. It’s gray, snowflakes falling, and I’m sipping my Cup of Fancy (Decaf Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea..svtea.com). I savor its warmth and flavor, as I get ready to spend my time with You.

My palette of reds inspires my strength of spirit….and very conservative convictions.

Father, this troublesome world tries and tires me physically and emotionally. We all have a hard way to go: jobs, kids, parenting, physical and emotional issues, politics.

The first two scriptures that I ever memorized, when I was 30 years old, when the following scriptures touched my heart and mind ,for the very first time.:

* I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee.

*I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength.

Memorizing scripture allowed me a wealth of wisdom, and gave me a firm foundation of faith.

The more I began to study The Word, the more I craved it.  I realized that being in Your Presence, Father gave me a fullness of joy and peace.

Within the last 40 years, I have experienced some stressful situations: loss of parents and siblings, stresses and surgeries for my husband and myself, helping with the grandkids, the farm, my job, horrific American politics…. You name it.

However, standing firm in my faith was the only way that I survived.

As I sit in your Presence journaling, I feel as if I’m the little girl who wants to be held upon your lap. Why?

I never had that as a child. You are the Father that loves me and comforts me.  You are the One who keeps me strong about my convictions.

*For God so loved the world he sent his only begotten Son, to become The Lamb of God…and save us from our sins.

*The Word of God is alive: Isaiah prophesied that he would be born of a virgin.

*That he would be crucified.

*That he would be raised from the dead.

*That he would ascend to heaven and return for us at the Rapture.

*That Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life….one must be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven.

*The Bible says,”That in my flesh I will see God.”

If are a new Christian, seek Christ with you’re entire mind, soul, and spirit.  He will hold on to you firmly, and never leave you nor forsake you. HE IS…..Your firm foundation.

Dear Reader…may you feel His unfailing love, as you spend time in His Presence.

ABBA, I praise You for being the Father, to whom I can reveal my soul.  Thank You for blessing me this day.

MY CHILD:   As you learn to spend time with Me, you will eventually learn the following: Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in your Presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.  I will make your convictions of faith very clear and teach you how to apply them to your life firmly.  I AM THE ROCK ON WHICH YOU STAND.

Psalm 33:11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart for all generations.

Psalm 37:23 The Lord delights in a man’s way, and makes his steps firm.

Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
