PART III – LIVING IN EXPECTATION

We Serve an 11th Hour God!

Deut. 31:8 The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Talk about being discouraged! Please, Lord! When, Lord! Help, Lord!

I have a Dear Friend that is a sister from another mother. We have been through a lot together, over the years.

Through joys, sorrows, tragedies, and celebrations, we have been joined at the hip. A year and a half ago, she lost her 40 year old son in a tragic accident.

For years, she has also dealt with a husband who is disabled, and on the verge of Alzheimer’s.

Needless to say, it is her faith, family, and friends that keep her going.

Her son, Brian was the one who took care of the country home; mowing, planting/attending the garden, and running the pool.

Thus, it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out that the house was cleaned out after Christmas, and placed on the market Mid-March.

There was a pressing issue that mounded stress upon all of us. The promised condo needed to be sold by the end of June. D couldn’t purchase the condo, unless her house sold first.

She had showing after showing. I told her, ”God’s got the right person at the right time. BELIEVE!”

The last week of May, she had a buyer and was in contract. Then his inspector came. There were 88 issues that needed to be addressed. Therefore, the Dude backed out!

We were in tears, but knew that God had allowed this for a higher purpose. “Why, Lord why?” “Why have us get all excited, only to have the rug pulled out from under us?”

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord. Plans not to harm you, but to give you hope and a future.

“OK, Lord!” “We are going to entrust you with this matter.”

Stress, sleepless nights, prayers, waiting, prayers, waiting :we had a prayer chain a mile long! Novenas, rosaries; then we lay it all in the Lord’s
lap.

D’s son commented to me one eve, after the first buyer backed out; “Remember, Susie.” “We serve an 11 th hour God.”

I knew that whenever God’s decision came through, it would be big, bold, and not a shadow of a doubt, that it was God who created the miracle.

D’s daughter and family came up from North Carolina and worked their tails off for entire week. What an improvement!!! Each and every issue was
addressed and repaired. It was as if an army of warriors arrived, crossed the mat, and rebuilt the castle.

On June 22, she had a showing that seemed extremely positive. On June 26, I was in the car with her, as the realtor proceeded to ask questions. It seemed as if this would be a “GO!”

That night I had a dream. I know that in my Spirit it was God’s Voice. “Something Big Is Coming!”

That morning I texted the Bible Group and prayed, ”In the Name of Jesus, that house is going to sell!” “Something Big Is Coming!!!!”

June 29 th I was out in the morning with a friend, shopping with her for a Bible. As I returned to the car, I saw D’s text. “You might want to call me ASAP!”

As she picked up the phone I heard screams…”In Contract…In Contract!!!!”

As expected, I began to bawl! “Praise you, Father! “Thank You, Jesus!” At the 11 th hour, God sold the house, so D could buy the promised condo.

We both knew that when the first guy backed out, God said, “Things aren’t right.” WE HAD TO TRUST HIS TIMING.

ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD….TO HIM THAT LOVES THE LORD.

HEAVENLY FATHER: Waiting is soooo hard. Sometimes, trusting is even harder. However, those that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. Give us the peace, Lord to wait for you…..because your timing is perfect. Amen.
