Trivia king

THELMA, LOUISE, BORIS
AND
THE KING OF TRIVIA
OK…….You Had To be There…….LOLOLOL!

Proverbs 17:17 A Friend Loves at ALL TIMES.

My Friends: What would I ever do without them? Thelma has been dear to me since 1991. Louise, my neighbor, became a soul mate after her husband divorced her in 2007. What a crew! We play, pray, and laugh a lot together. We are travel buddies and all of us get along so well.
Last year, we went on a two-week trip to the Black Hills, in South Dakota. We drove….and drove…..and drove.
Thelma and Louise(yes, the two crazies) did all of the driving. My job: Entertain Thelma’s Dementia Husband, who has great long-term memory. However, he can’t remember what he ate an hour ago.
I am a rhymer/singer. So in my wackiness, I make up songs about our adventures. Also, Thelma’s husband being a kid of the ‘50’s remembers all of the western TV shows/songs/actors.
Therefore, along with the King of Trivia, I sang all of the songs to Cheyenne, Maverick, Sugar Foot, and Bronco. You have to understand, that the 1950’s era was the beginning of home TV. All kids could sing the songs and recite the names of the individuals who played the characters. Westerns, The Mickey Mouse Club,77 Sunset Strip (Ed Burns as Kookie), Hawaiian Eye, and Surfside Six, were the programs everyone doted upon.
Frequently, The King of Dimentia can get under my skin. Then I hear the Holy Spirit resounding in my ears, ”What would Jesus Do?” I do what I do for the love of Thelma, and to lighten her load.
We just recently took a 4-day trip to W. Va. to visit some of Louise’s family members and see the sites. You guessed it. We were at it again; singing, snacking, laughing, and loving.
I guess you are wondering, ”Who the heck is Boris?” That would be “Moi”…Yours Truly!
Last year, as we were traveling out west, we were doing the Trivia Game. There was a character of one of the Westerns, that we couldn’t remember. Low and behold, the King of Trivia screams out, ”Boris Karloff!” We laughed so hard that we had to make a quick Pitt Stop!
Personal, crazy stories make the world go round. How blest I am to have my friends!
HEAVENLY FATHER: Praise you for the blessings of friends. They love me besides my craziness and shortcomings. Help me to continue to be a role model to those who aid the handicapped. Those who are physically/mentally impaired need to laugh and play, just as children do.
In the Precious Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
