Good Morning, ABBA, Father,

Oh! How I fought the guilt and worry throughout my life, “That I was not Enough!”

Sipping my Cup of Fancy (Dark Magic, Green Mountain Decaf..splash of cream) I praise you that through your Holy Word (Romans 8),I learned the truth.  I am Righteous by the blood of Christ-GRACE.

My friend, Gracie and I were raised in legalism:  Mennonite and Catholic respectively. We both were taught that we had to earn our way to heaven.

She constantly questioned her salvation.

I constantly questioned Purgatory- a place that Catholics are supposed to go to so that they are really cleaned up, in order to ACHIEVE HEAVEN.

BAHHHHJ HUMBUG!

Once the two of us realized that it was the Blood of Christ that made us righteous—and nothing else, we began to seek God like no other.

She turned me on to major scripture reading and listening to You. 

Grace increased  within me to want an intimate relationship with you.  She hooked me up with Romans 1:4 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.  And so He condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law, might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Thank you, Father, for giving me the truth.

MY CHILD: YOU ARE ENOUGH! YOU ARE MINE! GOD’S GOT THIS!

Ephesians 2:4-5  Because of his great love for us, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved.

Ephesians 2:8-9  It is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:6-7 God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of his grace,expressed in his kindness to us in Jesus Christ.
