Good Morning, Abba Father,

It is a new year.  It is a breath of fresh air.  I am at the beginning of a new adventure. As I sip my Cup of Fancy (Decaf Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea..harney.com), I breathe in the warmth of your spirit. My time with you is so precious.

Even at my age (75) I like to take a brisk walk outside, with my doggies, in the winter moonlight. I walk to the Mighty Burr Oak….which symbolizes my growth, in Christ Jesus.

Even though I’m chilled to the bone, I love to hear the snow crunching under my feet. Then the silence. The Holy Silence.  I feel your Presence.  I hear you whisper.

“You are mine…and I recreated you. You are the Erstwhile Acorn…that spiritually, grew into the The Mighty Burr Oak.  As you opened your heart to Me, my Holy Spirit began a Big Work in you.”

I don’t even recognize myself…compared to the messed up person, that I was years ago.

As a child, you were a scary God.  All of the legalism that was pressed upon me, made me very apprehensive of you.

At 30 years old…GRACE AND TRUTH BEGAN TO WASH OVER ME…..very slowly, until I was 50. 

My palette of colors represents my rebirth. Believe me …colors can improve your emotions and mindset.

It’s amazing.  Once you open your heart to Jesus expect miracles, and little bits and pieces of heaven will come knocking on your door.

Here’s a personal example:

* When I first married I was an Elementary Art Teacher.

 * After my kids were born, I began teaching at a Baptist Preschool.

* The years that I was teaching preschool, I constantly prayed;”Do you want me to get re-certified to teach elementary school?” I sought Christ in so many genres.

* One morning doing my lesson plans, I heard God whisper; “You can do a K-3 in a heartbeat…go back to school.

With his guidance, I got re-certified, taught Kindergarten for 26 years, and earned my Masters in Education.

Jesus, through The Holy Spirit, will totally guide your life, step by step, if you open you heart to him.

My Farmer always had this encouraging statement.”The Lord will lay it right in your lap…but it’s his timing.”

Start off by having your Cup of Fancy with Him, and get into your Bible and daily devotionals.

Once you give him 15 minutes a day, it may turn out to be a half an hour. Also, when you begin to journal, God often answers you.

Then you will begin to recognize His Presence within you.

Thank you, ABBA, for blessing me this day.

MY CHILD: Opening your heart to me, through my Son, Jesus Christ, is all about surrender.

*When you have worries and anxieties…surrender them to me.

* When you have issues with guilt and unforgiveness, surrender them to me.

* When you have issues of,”Where do I go from here, Lord…or what should I do with my life?”  Surrender them to me.

*  In all situations…surrender…I will take care of you….that is my promise. LET GO AND LET GOD!
