As the Christmas Season is upon us, our hearts and minds turn to gift giving. As I sip my Cup of Fancy, (Peppermint, Mocha, Decaf), I praise You, for The Greatest Gift: your Son Jesus Christ.
Growing up in my denomination, I was never good enough. I was never worthy. I had to earn his forgiveness.
I’ll never forget the following occurrence: I was kneeling with a friend in church. The “Holy Chick”..God forgive me, was kneeling in prayer before us, a few pews ahead of us. Her heart was so in the right place; however, her angelic over-forbearance, was enough to make us look at one another and say,”REALLY?”
I looked at my friend and said, “If that’s what it takes to get to heaven…I’ll never make it. He made me this way!”LOLO!
I’m sure God was laughing and shaking his head. This was a few years before I discovered the REAL God… and the gift of GRACE……through your Holy Word.
WOW!… My life before the knowledge of Grace….compared to my life filled with God’s Grace is a total 360! FREEDOM!!! I now have the fullness of The Lord. However, it is a continuous job to seek Him, in order to fill me to the brim.
I look at the young believer…so messed up, with the legalism… in comparison to the 74 year old Gramma, filled with The Holy Spirit.
It’s amazing…in my book, THE ERSTWHILE ACORN, I reveal the story, of how God took me from messy to mighty.
In order to be filled to the brim ask ABBA, the following: What am I lacking? Show me how to become a better person. How can I serve you?
Trust me my friends; his love is real; his power to change your life is real.
Become involved with serving others, loving others, and allowing His Light to shine through you.
ABBA, thank You for bringing me to your Holy Word, through my dearest friend Gracie. Praise you, for blessing me this day.
2 Cor 12:9 And He said to me,”My Grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
Psalm145: 14 The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts all who are bowed down.
John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed, in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
