Memory Verse: I put on the full Armor of God.

Good Morning, ABBA, Father,

In the midst of summer heat, You provided a gentle rain, to cool and refresh the air. As I sip my Cup of Fancy, coffee sounds great this morning, (Highlander Grogg Decaf…splash of cream).

Sitting on my country porch…the blessings flow. My husband and I worked like Trojans for 45 years to build this farm for our sons and grandchildren.

Many in this community laughed at us….made fun of us. In fact, two so-called big shots walked into the milking parlor construction zone in 1973 and commented,”You’ll be gone in 6mos!” 

They obviously had no idea, to whom they were talking.  My husband was born “Working,” coming out of the womb. His Irish grandfather bought the farm in 1917. It has been in our family 107 years. We built this farm together, within the last 51 years. We raised three strong Christian sons, rebuilt the farm house, barns, bins, bought equipment. LOLOL..rebuilt the farmhouse???? My father-in-law who suffered a heart attack and passed right after our wedding. He said,”Set a match to it.” LOLOL Forty years later, the last remodel and big addition was complete. To add, my father was an electrician/builder and I lived in a beautiful home. Can you see God transforming me.. and severe family dysfunction?

My Farmer’s Irish/English/Christian ancestry, made him somewhat of a workaholic. He milked cows for 43 years and is still farming at 74. He is a Warrior; for his faith and family.

With my German ancestry, I was raised to rise to the title of “Becomer.” I sought God’s wisdom, guidance, and climbed the ladder of Education. I’m a Warrior in the sense of my Faith/Family/Work Ethic. NOTE…after overcoming horrific post partum depression.

Both my husband and I were born to “Never give up!”Read Winston Churchill’s speech to the students at Harrow School; a speech I turn to often in times of trial.

The traumas that we have experienced within these 51 years, were only survived … BECAUSE OF YOU, ABBA.You carried us and guided us to the other side.

As I view the green cornfields, bowing towards heaven, while a gentle breeze blows, I am in total peace; even though a legal trauma has yet to be negated against one of my sons for 2 ½ years. It’s You, ABBA who gives me rest, as I persevere and fight against the evils of this world.

What’s so glorious about being a Christian? Even though death may take me before the Rapture..I win.  To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. Once you have Jesus, you have eternity with him.  You know how it ends. We all win. GET YOUR HEAD IN GOD’S WORD! 

Praise You, ABBA, for making me and mine, Warriors within the Kingdom of God.

Dear Reader, ABBA can and will give you peace, strength, wisdom, courage and guidance.  Rest in Him and His Holy Word. He will allow a circumstance to occur in your favor. Trust me…YOU WILL EXCLAIM..”That was God and only God.

Thank You for blessing me this day.

MY CHILD: Ephesians 6:14-18 Stand firm then, with the with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and feet fitted with readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of Faith, with which you will extinguish all flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of The Spirit, which is The Word of God,and pray in the Spirit on all occasions. With all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and keep on praying for all of the saints.

Yes ..YOU ARE A WARRIOR! One who is righteous by faith, and already lives within the kingdom of heaven.

Zeph. 3:17  “The Lord your God is in your midst ,a victorious warrior.  He will exalt over you with joy.  He will quiet you with his love. He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”

Ephesians 6: 10-11 Finally be strong in the Lord and in his Mighty Power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
