Colors abound on the farm, and the surrounding country area. The leaves of red, yellow and orange, will soon be fading into a winter genre.
This morning I am sipping my Cup Of Fancy: a pot of cinnamon spice tea. As Autumn is in full color, the aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking spices fill the air.
I am thrilled that I live in the area that has the four seasons. Fall is always my favorite; you get it, I’m an artist. Plus, it used to be my fav for two other reasons; going back to school and football season.
I loved my students: teaching, loving, laughing, teasing, rhyming, playing with them on the playground, teaching them a moral code for life, along with a plethora of other activities. They owned my heart.
There are two boys, who are now adults, that I still pray for. They came from horribly dysfunctional backgrounds. I have personal stories with them, that so blessed me as a teacher. ABBA, protect Bo and Adrian; in your mercy, bring them to Christ. I pray that before they leave this earth, they give their hearts to you.
I was given faith, as a child. However, I began a true, personal relationship with you, after I became a mother.
Then at 50 years old, you began a spiritual walk with Gracie and I, that would change our lives. I realized the following:
*Grace means you paid it in full. I am free.
*I am worthy, and I don’t have to earn your love. At 45, I can remember talking to a speaker and asking her,”Does God love me?” I obviously didn’t get Grace.
*You own my heart.
*You love me in my imperfection.
* You give me the love, strength, and courage to face the unknown, and tragedies of this world. You carry me. In Bible study this week, my sisters all acquiesced, as I commented the following: “How anyone survives this world, without knowing that God carries them, is beyond me!”
*That you would use both Gracie and I to touch many lives.
Father, freedom feels so awesome! Praise You, for loving me! Praise You, for owning my heart!
Father, thank You, for blessing me this day.
Isaiah 44:2 This is what the Lord says: “He who made you-who formed you in the womb- and who will help you; do not be afraid, O Jacob, my servant, Jerusalem, whom I have chosen.”
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, and ever prsent help in trouble.
Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord…..forever!
