I am cuddled up in my “War Room,” on my comfy couch. My candle is lit. My Cup of Fancy is on my end table. My Granny’s beautifully flowered teapot is filled to the brim with cinnamon/apple tea. I add a pinch of sweetener to make it more delectable. To spoil me, I also have a scone.
Many of you say..”Well, I don’t have that luxury in the morning.” Well neither did I for 30 years of public school plus 7 years of Christian preschool. I’m retired 9 years and am 73 years old.
It was truly frustrating trying to find “God Time.”
The greatest gift I ever gave to myself was creating my “Godspace,” for just him and me. It also serves as my art room(I was an art teacher before a Kindergarten teacher) craft, and scrapbooking area.
I feel your pain. I got up at 5:30a.m.,was at school by 7:30a.m. I was blessed that my elementary school was only 5 mins. away. Many nights with boys football practice and games, I didn’t get home til 8:p.m.
However, after you “Found Me,” I spent at least 15mins. with you at the kitchen table, before I walked out the door; often 15 mins. in the evening. My room didn’t become a big deal until my last son was in high school.
For you mothers, who are the only females within your household..I cry out to ABBA for you. So often, my words and decisions were dismissed. I remember screaming one day, ”I’m so sick of being the only woman in this household!”
Thus, I would retreat to my “War Room,” and begin a craft, scrapbook, have worship music playing, and candles lit.
Frustration can melt, once you give yourself a creative or spiritual outlet. You are beginning a new year. Make it a goal to create your “Godspace.” YOU ARE SO WORTH IT!!!
Thank you, ABBA, Father for blessing me this day.
Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.
Psalm 27:8 When you said,”Seek My Face,” my heart said to you,”Your face I will seek.”
Psalm 43:5 Why are you so downcast? Oh my soul! Why are you so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
