Fall is closing in upon us, harvest is at full throttle. Combines are whirring through the cornfields, as they rasp the crops into huge grain trucks.
As I soak my mind within the realm of your Holy Word, I await your harvest: the rapture of your Bride, the Church.
The more I learn of your precepts, the more I realize that we are definitely in the end times. The news is rampant with evil. However, as your beloved child, I look up, for my salvation draws nigh.
The word “Soak,” literally means to absorb; to become one with; to relax and rest in your Word. This is not
something that happens overnight.
It takes a season of growth for a plant to become infused with nutrients to produce a fertile crop. So it goes with a heart, mind and soul, to become renewed by my Spirit. It takes work, steadfastness, and forming a habit, in order for you to become part of the heavenly realm.
There are so many secrets that you have revealed to me. Precious wisdoms, just between the two of us; you have enlightened me.
I can’t wait to have that special, time slot planned out; just the two of us.
Start simply: Psalms and Proverbs have designed and orchestrated my way of thinking for years.
Forty years ago, coming out of post-par-tum depression, your Word was a lamp unto my feet. Along with medication and counseling, I rose above to greatness; only through you. Never in a million years, did I realize that you planned a future, 30 year teaching career, much less, a writing career, to spread the kingdom.
Remember, as you go through storms in life, He is teaching you an amazing lesson, and taking you in a new direction. Soak your mind in his Presence.
Thank You, Father, for blessing me this day.
Psalm 119:18-20 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.. I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me. My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times.
Psalm 119:26-27 I recounted my ways and you answered me; teach me your decrees. Let me understand the teaching of your precepts; then I will meditate on your wonders. *I have hidden your word in my heart that I may not sin against you.
Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
