Today will most likely be the last day, writing on The Big, Country Porch. The fall air has really chilled the morning sky. Harvest still continues; however, it is on hold due to rain.
The above mentioned colors, are everywhere in the sky. The gentle rain is falling at a steady pace. I love being on the porch, as it comes across the field. You kiss and bless the earth with the rain, as it parades across the field, in sheets of white, blue and gray.
Bold colors proclaim confidence and stability. As I dress for the work place, I adorn myself with colors that say,”I have arrived.” Color helps me to feel proficient, and that,”I can get the job done!” Certain colors can empower.
However, I can’t get any job done thoroughly without You. “I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength.” That verse, totally changed my life.
I used to be a fearful, child indoctrinated with religious rules and legalism….. until I met Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Until I built my relationship with Him, and learned about how easy GRACE made my salvation, I lived in a limbo of the following:
-Did I confess that sin?
– Did I confess often enough to get to heaven?
EARN! EARN! EARN! What a mess! My spiritual existence was nothing but fear and “What ifs?”
However, now in confidence I go directly to The Throne of God to pray and submit my requests. Christ sacrifice tore the curtain in two, and You, Father are my shield and my refuge.
With the confidence of The Holy Spirit, I can tackle any problem. It may not be easy. It may be painful, however, I know that all things work for good, to him that loves the Lord.
Thank You, Father, for giving me a realm of heavenly confidence. May my accomplishments glorify You. Only through You, could I ever be strong enough to go forward, and work hard towards a confident goal.
Walk with me this day, ABBA. Hold me close to Your heart.
Psalm 71:5 For you have been my hope, O Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the Throne of Grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy, and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 10:19-22 Therefore, brothers, since we have the confidence to enter The Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is his body, and since we have a great high priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
