Luke 10:39-42
She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said, but Martha was distracted by all of the preparations that had to be made. She came and asked,”Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord said. “You are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
John 11 34-35
“Where have you laid him?” “Come and see, Lord,”they replied. JESUS WEPT.
John 11 39-44
“Take away the stone,” he said. “But Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor because he has been dead four days.” Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said,”Father, I thank you that you have heard me I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe you sent me. When he has said this, Jesus called out in a loud voice,”Lazarus, come forth!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and cloth around his face. Jesus said,”Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”
Forty years ago in 1981, I met my dear sister in Christ, Sandy B.I was 31,she was 18. We both taught preschool together at Little School In The Prairie.
Now we are double-blessed to be together again in our Women’s Bible Study.
No matter what trauma is befalling someone in our group her statement is always the reign of faith,”GOD’S GOT THIS!” In other words: no matter the circumstance, God is working behind the scene.
Right now, we need a “Lazarus Moment,” which I believe will come to pass. I believe that God is going to do something BIG…like a Red Sea Moment. However, it’s time for us to get on our knees, pray and believe.
Can you imagine the hugs, tears, love, and joy that passed between all those present at the resurrection of Lazarus?
America was founded on the Judaeo /Christian Principles. I don’t believe that God is going to allow the wickedness to prevail.
Since Covid, there has been a huge return to God. I believe that there is going to be a huge revival before Jesus comes for his Bride, The Church.
The following scripture has resonated over FB and the Internet, and has soaked my spirit since 1981:
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from my wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Believe it! He is tired of all of this mess and wickedness going on within our nation. How someone can say that they are a Christian and vote for an abortion candidate….is beyond me.”PRIDE cometh before the fall.”
I believe that He has heard the prayers of his children. Hold your faith. Hold your peace.
God really does have a great sense of humor. Oh I was raised within the realm of the 1950-60’s strict Catholicism. However..my Mom…God’s sweet Ruthie….. filled me with the following: “Our Jesus has no denomination, Baby Girl. In the end times it will come down to One Fold and One Shepherd. Denomination will not matter; only a relationship with Jesus Christ will win salvation.”
I attend 4:30 mass weekly, as a member of St. Joseph’s. Yes, I have attended Columbus Vineyard many times with my friend, Gracie.
My latest adventure: I have a dear friend and daughter (a former K Kid), whom my husband and I have held under our wings for the past year. They experienced some severe trauma a year ago, and presently she is going through a nasty divorce.
Last summer she asked me to go with her to purchase a Bible. “He’s calling you out, isn’t he?” So as expected, we made a trip to Barnes and Noble.
I encouraged her to find a church family. She answered,”Well I’m not going near that puffy pastor that wrote me off last year.” Laughingly I interjected,” I have got the perfect place for you.”
On most Sunday mornings, I go along with my adopted daughter to Big Darby Baptist Church; now meeting at The Der. The church will begin to rebuild in March.
Again….God’s sense of humor…off with the old and on with the new; Pastor Emmet Green and his wife Kelly arrived on June 30. The church burned on July 2nd. Such a sweet, knowledgeable, humble man, who preaches “The King is Coming,” is building a new flock..
If you are looking for a great country, family church, check them out! Yes, I am his best cheerleader.
HEAVENLY FATHER: I praise you for the glorious work that YOU ARE ABOUT TO DO WITHIN OUR NATION.I praise you Father and may I always reiterate: GOD’S GOT THIS!
