WE SERVE A MIGHTY GOD

He Creates Strength Through Weakness

2 Cor. 12:9 But He said to me, ”My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Deut.31:8 The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

I can so relate to St. Paul as he states, “Boast about my weaknesses.” Well….Lolol… I sure as heck don’t want to boast about them! Let’s say, I’ll claim them. We all have our weaknesses. Good Lord! What I’ve been through within the last month besides all of the political and Covid BS is enough to set some people over the edge.

  • For a month, I helped my dearest friend pack and move to a condo. Not to mention, she had a buyer in June that cancelled. The Inspection cited 88 issues that needed to be addressed. Her kids took care of everything, and the house eventually sold the 22nd of June… stress….stress.
  • We moved on Aug. 7th . I fell into bed at 9p.m. and at 9:30 I received a tragic phone call. While dining at a sidewalk cafe in Newport Ky. My cousin Ray Laible and his wife Gayle were killed instantly. There was a high speed police chase in Cincinnati. My cousins were in the path of a high speed police chase and the fleeing vehicle.
  • Aug. 11 was already set as a graveside service for Ray’s sister (my cousin Mary Jean) who had passed in hospice the previous week. The services for Ray and Gayle were Sat. Aug. 14.
  • So within one week..my relation buried three members from one family. Stress…stress..stress.
  • I began to tutoring. My dining room and office are turned upside down. I am in the process of creating “Gramma Susie’s Classroom,” and Art Studio in an empty room upstairs. The stress of the mess is overwhelming. Stress..stress
  • We now have my son’s dog daily from 7a.m. to 7 p.m., as there have been some schedule changes that required our help. However, Gramma and Grampa are in love with Bama, the White Lab. She has nested very well with Petie and Sadie, our two Chocolate Labs.
  • My computer died a month ago, and I’m so glad to be back online, to retain some normalcy within my daily regimen.

HOWEVER.. I’M TRYING TO REST…AND BE STILL IN HIM. I WAS A MESS FOR A FEW WEEKS…Yes..I admit!

I can honestly say, “I’m praising God that we, on the farm, are healthy and things are looking up.

Thank God, FOOTBALL FRIDAY NIGHT begins Fri. Aug. 28.

HEAVENLY FATHER: Thank You for holding my hand these last two months. Without your scriptures of peace and rest within this OCD Brain, I wouldn’t have survived. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
