THE WHEELS ON THE BUS

THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO ROUND AND ROUND

On Your Worst Day Find Something For Which You May Be Thankful.

Psalm 13: 6 I will sing to the Lord, for He has been good to me.

MADISON HERB SOCIETY: What a great, humorous, group of talented, Christian Women to which I belong! There are no requirements to join; all that is necessary one must have a love of plants and herbs. I am a porch planter, and enjoy cooking with herbs.

Ever since last fall, four of us researched. We made numerous phone calls, inquiries, reservations, and planned a magnificent bus tour for our organization.

Before every meeting, meal, or beginning a trip, Tina blesses us with prayer. However, this time our prayer proved to be quite resourceful.

We left West Jefferson On Thurs. June 6th at 6:30 a.m. Our driver for the Fun Bus was Mary Kay. What a delight! She fit right in with all of us gals.

As one would expect, there were detours everywhere. Luckily, we made it to Falling Waters in Penn by 11:45. Frank Lloyd Wright built the house for the Kaufman’s Dept. Store Heirs in the 1930’s.

That tour went easily without a hitch. We then had a five-hour ride to our Comfort Inn. Finishing up with a dinner at Cracker Barrel, we were settled
for the eve.

Thank you, Lord. You saved the day!

June 7th we were to spend the day at Longwood Gardens. It is one of the most outstanding in the country.

We departed at 9:15 with a hopeful arrival at 10 a.m. LOLOLOL….. THE DETOURS…As one accrued after the other, we laughed and made the best of it. The Evil One thought he’d mess things up for us….well…Our God….

The detours took us an hour through Amish Country; horse and buggies, farming old style, Mama in the garden working with the kids. It was
delightful.

We were supposed to arrive at Longwood Gardens at 10a.m. We arrived at 11a.m. for a self-guided excursion. Lunch on our own. The bus leaves at 3pm.

The foliage, colors, scents, artistry, walking and relaxing with friends were over the top. The bus departed at 3pm.

We drove about 4 hours to Barnesville PA. We feasted at an Italian Buffet, Basille Family Style. We had an amazing dinner and our own banquet room. We then ventured to our Comfort Suites for the eve.

Thank You, Lord. The detours were delightful in Amish Country. You saved the day.

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT I GET A PHONE CALL!

The husband of one of our members was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. The diagnosis came at 8a.m. and they were on their way back to the hotel. He had shingles. The couple stayed another night, rented a car, and drove home the next day.

Thank You, Lord for taking care of them. Once again..You saved the day.

We left at 9a.m. had a few small detours, and arrived at Hope Hill Lavender Farm. WOW! What an amazing experience! Not to mention the
shopping!!!

We ended our tour about 4 hrs. from home, at Quiet Creek Herb Farm. It is a Christian based non-profit business. What a delightful visit!

We played bingo on the bus to pass the time. Our amazing bus driver/new friend Mary Kay, announced, ”We’ll be at West Jeff High School by
9p.m. YEA!!!! ….or so we thought.

PRAISE GOD WE WERE 5 MINS FROM HOME!

The bus had a blowout! Mary Kay got us parked in the median. She was trying her best to call her company to figure of what was to be done. Most of us laughed…seriously… and said, “God’s got the plan!”

A cop came and guided her to the side of the road, where we could unload. Husbands were called, women car-pooled to the high school to get their cars. I was home by midnight.

The adrenaline was so kicked in, that I did 2 loads of laundry, cleaned up the kitchen, and didn’t get to bed until 2a.m.

THANK YOU,LORD !!! YOU REALLY SAVED THE DAY THIS TIME.

HEAVENLY FATHER: Please, help those who read this understand your peace. Yes, you can give peace, and strength in the worst of situations. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
