2 Cor.10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sits itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
I had a worry/what if syndrome since I was a child. Finally one day, God and I said, ”Enough is Enough!” I was bound and determined that I would do anything and everything to change my Stinkn Thinkn (Joyce Meyer).
One thing I learned BIG TIME! Meds and therapy helped a great deal. However, just like a sleazy viper, worry occasionally reared its ugly head. It struck when you least expected it. My job was to synchronize a way to produce an anti-venom.
As I recovered from post partum depression, I mentally had to create a way out. Just last week, anxiety decided to pitch a hard ball at me. GET OUTTA HERE! I HIT A HOME RUN!
Over the past 40 years, I ‘ve taught myself to do the following:
*Fill your mind with the Word of God and memorize scripture. (Beth Moore)
* Get busy. Get out of the house. Get involved.
* When you give yourself away to help others, you are healed.
*99.9% of your what ifs, never come to fruition.
* Educate your mind.
*Dr. Norman Vincent Peale taught me to do the following:
*Prayerize- Build a consistent relationship with Christ. Trust that he is on your team.
Picturize- Picture yourself healthy, wise, successful, and at peace. We are what we think.
Actualize-Get rid of poor, pitiful me. Keep in your head 1000x’s a day, ”I am at rest in Christ.”
NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES,HE IS WITH ME AND WILL GET ME THROUGH IT.
Once you come out to the other side, you’ll be strong, wise, and in tune with the spirit.
HEAVENLY FATHER,
Bless those that come to this blog daily. Help them to realize: ”That they can do all things through Christ who gives them the strength.”
Amen.
