SPOTLIGHT 7 MY GOD HAS AN OCD SENSE OF HUMOR

October 6,2000. My cousin Diana’s son Jeffrey was at the farm for the weekend. I knew in my spirit, the following:

· As I took him home to Cincinnati, I was supposed to meet her at All Saints Catholic Church for 4:00pm mass. This church was my home parish in my youth. I attended All Saints Elementary, and was married there also.

· I knew that I was called there for a reason.

· I responded to the call as I knelt there prior to mass. “Lord, whatever it is that you want me to do, annoint me to fulfill your wishes.

As I knelt and prayed, my cousin arrived and slid into the pew along side me. Usually, there were booklets within each pew. One could view the readings prior to mass. However, there were no booklets within our reach. So, I decided to listen to the readings.

As the lector began, I was in peace, and ready to soak in and digest, whatever the Spirit had planned for me.

He began, ”The first reading is from the book of Habakkuk.” I froze, because I knew exactly what the Spirit was going to reveal.

“Habakkuk 2:2-4 Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will surely come and not delay.”

This time I was in tears, and laughing at the same time. God not only gave me my repeated scripture in my own denomination, but also I realized that being somewhat OCD, He wanted to give it to me over and over again! LOL! He definitely wanted me to know that He meant business! There was no doubt, that He would give future revelations that I should share.

Cousin Diana looked at me, mouth gaping. OMG! That’s your scripture, Sis!

God was just beginning to bless me. He was on a roll. The lector began,” The second reading is from the 1st Book of Timothy verse 7.”

Chills ran down my spine. Again, I knew what was coming, because I memorized the following scripture to help transform my mind: For God

has not given us the spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and sound mind.

Finally, The Spirit finished His revelation. The Gospel was the following: Matt 17:20 “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Immediately as I got in my car, I called Gracie. We had a huge laugh as I informed her that God must be somewhat OCD.” You got it, Girlfriend! LOL! He knew He had to give it to me over and over again in order for me to believe that He truly had a plan for my future!”

I knew that at the appropriate place and time,

He would begin to reveal His plan and what I was to accomplish.
