AN IRISH BLESSING

HAPPY ST. PADDY’S DAY

Numbers 6:24-26

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His Face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord turn His Face toward you and give you peace.

My former pastor and friend Father Pat, is the epitome of a jovial leprechaun. How we miss him. His smile and hearty laugh could fill up a room, with light and joy.

As we celebrate St. Paddy’s Day, I wish to share with you his favorite Irish blessing, that he would say after every mass.

May the angels never neglect you.

May Satan always neglect you.

May your loved ones always respect you.

AND

MAY YOU BE IN HEAVEN A LONG TIME BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOUR DEAD! AMEN!

We love you and miss you Father Pat.
