BE RUTHFUL AND MULTIPLY

Thanks for building my character, Mom.

Galatians 5:22 For the Fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness.

I praise God that I was the daughter of Ruth Laible Ortlieb! Love you, Mam. Please send me some snippits from heaven. You’ve been there for 24 years…..but who’s counting? Me! Lord how I miss you! Tears are flowing as I write.

My faith, my Christian nature, come from you, and Granny. You planted the acorn and taught me to be erstwhile. However, as His Spirit grew in me, He taught me to reach for The Sonlight. I am now a Mighty Burr Oak due to your nurturing.

Love: You loved unconditionally. You were the anchor at home, in good times and in bad. Thanks you for showing me the Love of Jesus.

Joy: Singing, dancing, cooking, hostess extraordinaire…. You taught to look at my cup as half full. Thank you for giving me the joy of Jesus.

Peace: You taught me to make lemonade out of lemons. You were the epitome of, ”I will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee.”

Thank you for showing me how to attain the true peace of Christ.

Patience: The patience that you exuded within our somewhat chaotic environment, dug the path for me to teach five year olds for 26 years. Thank you, for showing me how patient God is with me, when I sin.

Kindness: Giving, sharing, caring; you were a true role model. You emulated, ”Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.

Goodness: I only wish that I exuded all of your goodness. I tend to put myself out there and say what I think….way too much. There is no doubt that as soon as heaven received, and you faced Christ, you heard Him say, ”Well done, My Good and Faithful Servant.

Faithfulness: Your greatest gift that you taught and nourished within me, was my faith. I have such a deep heritage, especially on the maternal side of my family. Thank you Jesus, for allowing certain situations within my life, that caused my faith to grow.

Father, I pray that my family and friends are filled with the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. May our politicians breathe in your Spirit, as well.

May all who seek you Lord, learn to be Ruthful and multiply.

In Jesus precious name I pray. Amen.
