YOU CAN DO IT T.J.!!!

HEBREWS 3:13 Therefore, encourage one another as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

Having taught Kindergarten for 26 years, I had a lot of experience with encouraging 5 year olds how to get along. It was a constant battle forming their characters to be righteous.

However, my husband and I both worked diligently to raise our sons as men of faith and character. All 3 of them, like their father, have a significant work ethic.

My son and his wife are amazing parents to 5 year, old, twin boys. He teaches them to focus and encourage one another.

I have a video of the twins; they were almost 4, climbing hay rolls in the barn. T.J. was successful, at first. He could plant his feet in the right position, grab the twine that encircled the hay rolls, and pulled his self up. Zack struggled a bit and needed a boost.

A bit later, T. J. tried climbing another hay roll, but was struggling. Suddenly, Zack was behind

him encouraging,” You can do it, T .J. You can do it!”

My heart melted. Tom and I looked at each other and sighed. Zack, who previously struggled so much, was being his brother’s cheerleader. Our son had taught them well.

Just as God’s word, encourages us, we are to do so for our brothers.

Heavenly Father,

When struggles occur, help us to uplift our fellow man, in thoughts, words, and deed.

In Jesus Precious Name, I pray. Amen
