As a child growing up, whenever I would have a struggle Granny would laugh and say, ”What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” Oh! I can’t tell you how many times I reiterated that to my friends and children throughout my life.

When I had a serious illness at 10 years old, my mom said, ”When you’re having health issues, it’s hard to see yourself clear to the other side. God will get you through this. When it’s all over, you’ll be stronger, healthier and happier than before.”

Whether it’s a health issue, or some other stressful situation, we’ve all cried out to God to intervene on our behalf. God allows trials in our lives to teach us, and bring our relationship to him into fruition.

After God healed me from post-partum depression almost 40 yrs. ago, God began to turn me in a new direction. I was a stay-at-home mom with two little sons. Just as my mom’s career was being a mom and housewife, it took me 5 years at home to realize that God created me for so much more.

God began turning me in a new direction, one small step at a time. From 81-88 I taught at a Christian Preschool. Throughout this time, I was praying incessantly. ” Lord, do you want me to get recertified? Make it clear to me what you want.”

The last year that I taught preschool, I heard His voice very clearly one morning. ”Go back to school. You can teach a K-3 in a heartbeat.”

Needless to say, I started back to school at Wright State Univ. summer of 88. In 88-89, I became the K Teacher at the Christian preschool.

God started playing a game with me, and it’s not the first time that He did it. Check this out:

*81-87 art teacher at the preschool

*87-88 art and preschool teacher

*88-89 K teacher at the Christian School

*89-90- my former principal stops by and tells me that my former art position at Jonathan Alder is open.

*90- 2 days before school starts a K position opens at Alder. I am split between Monroe and Plain City Elems. For 3 years.

*93-my K mentor at Monroe retires. I am lead K Team until 2014.

*95-I received my Masters from Wright State Univ.

Sept 28’98 a Spiritual Journey begins at Columbus Vineyard with my best friend ,Gracie.

There’s been so many “God Things” happen to me, in the last 20 years. He turned me, pushed me, and made me become exactly what He wanted me to be. All because I prayed, asked, listened, and made the choice to follow His lead. Now, He has me blogging ,with much more to come.

AS of yet, I don’t know all of the specifics. However, my God doesn’t lie. My book will give you the specifics.

My health issues didn’t kill me. They definitely made me stronger. At 67 yrs. of age I’m telling God, ”Ok Pal enough with the strength lessons, I get it. Give me the job you have in store for my future, and consider it done.” LOL!
