The Tongue Quotes from The Book of Wisdom and Sirach

“For wisdom is a kindly spirit, yet she does not acquit blasphemous lips.

Therefore, guard against profitless grumbling, and from calumny, withhold your tongue. For a stealthy utterance will not go unpunished, and a lying mouth destroys the soul.

A Fools thoughts are in their mouths. Wise men’s thoughts are in their hearts.

Who will set guard over my mouth, and upon my mouth an effective seal; that my tongue may not destroy me.”

The Tongue: It can either speak words from The Holy Spirit, or words from the mouth of hell. Fear, cursing, anger, bullying, confrontation…..What comes out of one’s mouth can either be like an angelic hymn, or a viper that stings and poisons its victims.

Personally, I am so dismayed at the viciousness of technology. The bullying on Facebook etc. has even caused student suicide.

Reality TV is over the top with stupidity and ignorance. Media is rampant with murder and crime series. News media in politics is filled with lies and bickering. Remember when you got THE TRUTH from our dear friend Walter Cronkite?

Yes, Satan is Alive and Well on Planet Earth: a book by Hal Lindsay.

Granny always said, Think before you speak! Words of sorrow and anger will come back and give you a belly ache.”

Does anyone even care whom he hurts with the his lies today?

In this day and age it’s all about ME! ME! ME!

What I see on the media is what I saw in the classroom for 30 years with 5 yr. olds.

For example:

*I’m better than you!

*You’re a liar!

*You’re ugly or stupid!

*You’d better give me!

*It’s mine!

Not only the youth, but also many adults in the present, are less mature than were my kindergartners.

How about these phrases?

*I’m your forever friend.

*I’m committed.

*Let’s work on this together.

*How can I help you?

*Let me lighten your load.

*Don’t be afraid, I’m here.

* You can count on me.

*Laughter is the best medicine.

*What a beautiful spirit you have.

You’re stronger than you think you are.

Base your life on the Fruits of The Spirit: Gal. 5: 22

“But the Fruits of The Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”

Be a positive influence in the lives of others, helping them build their lives according to God’s will.

Love,

Granny
